Ada Waller, age 87 of Desloge, passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at her residence. She was born on Monday, June 8, 1936, in Miami, Oklahoma. She retired from the Farmington State Hospital after 37 years of service as a Psychiatric Aide II. Ada was an avid reader, especially Stephen King novels. She enjoyed gardening and canning fruits and vegetables that she and her husband Paul grew in their gardens. Ada also enjoyed bowling, although she was never very good at it. She also enjoyed spending time with her husband deer hunting and four wheeling.
Ada was preceded in death by her parents, Archie and Helen (Nichols) Price; children, Randall Fitzgerald, Bruce Fitzgerald, Curtis Fitzgerald, Barbara Ann Fitzgerald and Terri Lynn Fitzgerald; two brothers, Bud Price and Bill Price.
Ada is survived by her loving husband, Paul Edward Waller, Jr.; her son, Fred Fitzgerald of Fisher, Texas; grandchildren, Megan Marvin and husband Caleb of Spokane, Washington, Collin Fitzgerald of Chicago, Illinois, and Curtis Fitzgerald II of Charleston, South Carolina; three great-grandchildren, Chloe, Temperance, and Angus; sister Mary Price along with several other family and friends.
A graveside service will be held at Hillview Memorial Gardens in Farmington on August 8, 2023, at 2:00 PM, with Brother Bob Webb officiating. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Arrangements were under the direction of C. Z. Boyer & Sons Funeral Home, Desloge, Missouri.
