Alice Lindsey

Alice Mae Lindsey, 73, went to be with our lord at 6:35 a.m. Monday, Oct. 25, 2010, at Blu-Fountain Nursing Home in Godfrey.She was born June 30, 1937 in Bonne Terre, Mo., to William T. (Boots) Blankenship and Lorraine Lalumondier, who both preceded her in death.She married Keith W. Lindsey on Oct. 7, 1954. He proceeded her in death.She is survived by three sons Kevin and wife, Karen, of Fort Smith, Ark., Darren and wife, Gabriela, of Godfrey and Craig and wife, Denise, of Huntsville, Ala.; two sisters, Ruth Ann and husband, Herman Koers, of Beech Grove, Ind., and Paula and husband, Jack Basler, of New Castle, Ind.; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her brother, John Blankenship, and his wife Betty.She was a long time member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Bonne Terre before moving to Godfrey to live with her son.A Memorial Mass will be Thursday 11 am at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bonne Terre with Rev. John Schneider officiating. The family requests memorials to be made to St. Joseph's Catholic School in Bonne Terre or to St. Mary's Catholic School in Alton.Arrangements are under the care of C.Z.
