Betty Morris

March 20, 1939 ~ May 30, 2022

 

          Betty Mae Morris, age 83, of Desloge, passed away Monday, May 30, 2022, at Southbrook Skilled Nursing Center in Farmington. Betty was born on Monday, March 20, 1939, in Steelville, to the late Orville and Blanche (Hamlin) Earney.

          She was a member of Abundant Life Church.  She enjoyed bingo, writing poetry, drawing, going dancing and listening to Elvis Presley and Patsy Cline songs.  Betty had a wonderful sense of humor and was a friend to all who knew her.

          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Delmar Lee Morris, Sr.; siblings, Charles Earney and Virginia Merkle.

          Betty is survived by her children, Donna Regnaiere, Delmar Morris, Jr. (Anna), Donny Morris (Michelle Willett), David Morris (Robin Parker) and Deanna Morris (Randy Woods); brother, Orville “Red” Earney, Jr.;  sixteen grandchildren, Gerry Harman (Pam), Tim Harman (Jenifer), Kevin Harman, Casey Gerding (Aaron), Brandon Morris, Isabelle Morris, Hayden Morris, Kody (Heather) Morris, Dustin Morris, Adreona Morris, Devin Shibley, Austin Morris (Haley), Maisie Morris, Cheyenne Morris, Breanna Miller and Jordan Miller (Makayla); great-grandchildren, Brian Harman, Logan Harman, Bradley Harman, Tyler Harman, Justin Harman, Ashlynn Harman, Haley George, Jamison Gerding, Carson Morris, Collin Morris, Soffe Morris, Tucker Morris, Michael Shibley, McKynlee Morris, Oaklee Morris, Bryson Pashia, Abel Pashia, Nevech Miller, Zoey Miller and Blayne Miller; great-great-granddaughters, Mildred “Millie” Brewer and Elsie Harman.

          Thank you to the amazing staff at Southbrook and Preferred Hospice for all the love and care given to our mother.  

          Graveside service will be held 1:00 PM at Herod Cemetery in Desloge, Friday, June 3, 2022 with Pastor Rick Hensley officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
