Bob Burgess

March 9, 1940 ~ March 1, 2022

          Bob Burgess, 81, of Park Hills, passed away March 1, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loved ones.  He was born March 9, 1940, in Esther, to the late Arnold Eugene and Mildred (Centers) Burgess.  Bob was President and a member for 35 years, of Local Labor Union #916. He was also employed for 5 years at Mineral Area College in General Services, loved working to restore the Banks family farm, while farming and raising Angus cows, in his spare time. 

          He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Gene Burgess and Pat Goodwater.

          Bob is survived by his wife of 60 years, Beverly (Banks) Burgess; children, Robert Burgess, Becky Unger and husband Mark, Brad Burgess and wife Altha, Bart Burgess and fiancé Kathy Rawlins; grandchildren, Rachel, Bradley, Matthew, Ben, Bailey, Anne and Sarah; five great-grandchildren; siblings, Peggy Bradley, Don (Diane) Burgess; several nieces, nephews, in-laws, other family members and friends, also survive.

          Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Thursday, March 3, 2022, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.  The visitation will resume at 11:00 AM, Friday, March 4, 2022, until the service time at 1:00 PM.  Pastor Brian Kingston will be officiating.  Interment will follow at Leadwood Cemetery.  Memorials may be directed to the Senior Center in Park Hills.
