Bonnie Horton

July 20, 1932 ~ February 21, 2022

          Bonnie Horton, 89, of Park Hills, passed away February 21, 2022, at Mercy Jefferson Hospital in Festus.  She was born July 20, 1932, in Elvins, to the late William B. and Hallie Alberta (Dodson) Turley.  Bonnie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Park Hills, and a cook for the Central R-3 School District, until retiring in 1993.  For several years, Bonnie was head of her church’s benevolence committee.  She enjoyed reading, puzzles, but her pride and joy were her grandchildren and watching their sporting events.

          She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vernon Dean “Biscuit” Horton; brother, Edwin Turley; sisters, Lucy Jane Turley, Patricia Turley-Morris; and sister in-law, JoAnn Turley.

          Bonnie is survived by her children, Duane Horton and wife Regina, Eric Horton and wife Amy; grandchildren, Kiley (Cavin) Rogan, Sophia Horton and Kendall Horton; great-granddaughter, Rosalie Rogan; brother, Bill Turley and special niece, Cathy Ruble; along with several other nieces and nephews.

          Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Saturday, February 26, 2022, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.  The visitation will resume on Sunday, February 27, 2022 at the First Baptist Church in Park Hills, from 2:00 PM until the time of service at 3:00 PM.  Reverend Josh Wilson will be officiating.  Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Leadington.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Central Rebels Athletic Boosters.
