Brian Forrester

August 11, 1979 ~ January 26, 2023

          Brian Forrester, 43, of Park Hills, passed away January 26, 2023.  He was born August 11, 1979, in Farmington, to Kevin Ray and Rebecca Ann (Mahurin) Forrester.  Brian was a member of the New Heights Church of Park Hills.  He loved sprint cars, dirt bike racing, and especially the St. Louis Blues Hockey Team.

          He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Bryella Hawthorn; grandmother, Suzie Gower; grandfather, James Alvin Mahurin, Sr.

          Brian is survived by his wife, Sunny Forrester; children, Kayla (Christofer)Avalos, Salena (Tyler) Hawthorn, Emily Hanks, Billie Hasty, Summer Hasty; grandchildren, Saylor Avalos, Laken Hawthorn and Sawyer Avalos; parents, Kevin and Rebecca Forrester; brother, Brandon (Erin) Forrester; niece, Lauren Forrester; nephew, Kyle Forrester; grandfather, Frederick “Fritz” Gower.

          Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Wednesday, February 1, 2023, from 4:00 PM until service time at 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Boyer Funeral Home, to help with funeral expenses.

  3. Brian was my peer Support Specialist at his old job at Sana Lake. He is the reason that I'm still in recovery today. It was a conversation with him that really opened my eyes to living a sober life. I owe my recovery to him. He was a great man. And I will miss him. Prayers to his family.
