Calvin Miner, age 91, of Farmington, passed away Friday, May 27, 2022, at his residence. Calvin was born on Tuesday, March 24, 1931, in Bonne Terre, to the late Albert and Edith Mae (Asher) Miner.
Calvin proudly served his country in the United States Army and fought in the Korean War. He was a member of the VFW in Farmington. He enjoyed collecting coins and stamps. He aspired to be a gardner. He loved music and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Edith Mae (Asher) Miner; his wife of 64 years, Florine Marie (Pratte) Miner; a daughter in infancy, Linda; and by nine siblings.
He is survived by his daughter, Brenda Gruhala; two grandchildren, Samantha (Eric) Currington, Christin (Chris) Marler; five great-grandchildren, Alyssa Currington, Mason Currington, Ian Marler, Taylor Marler, Kambria Currington; and a sister, Donna Martin.
Visitation will be held at C.Z Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Thursday, June 2, 2022 from 11:00 AM until time of service at 12:00 PM. Reverend Allan Berry will be officiating. Interment will follow at Leadwood Cemetery. Memorials if desired may be made to the United MSD Foundation
Brenda- Mike and I were so sorry to hear about Uncle Ned’s passing. He was very kind. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
I'm so very sorry for your loss! He was a second dad to us. I've been extremely ill and haven't gotten to see him this past year. In fact I didn't make it to the funeral because I was in the hospital. God bless you in your grief.
