Mr. Chris Delayne Lawson passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2008, at his residence at the age of 44 years, 6 months & 18 days. Chris was born April 4, 1964, in Bonne Terre.
Chris was: * an enthusiastic Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Race Car Fan; * Head Pit Crewman for Tommy Worley, Jr., Sprint Car Racer @ St. Francois Co. Raceway & * worked construction locally for the Barber Construction Co.
Survivors Include :1 Daughter, Lanie Lawson, of Farmington; 1 Step-Daughter, Emily Lawson, of Farmington. His Mother: Georgia 'Mrs. Darrel' Lawson Holdman, of Farmington. His Father: M. David (& Celeste) Lawson, of Los Angeles, CA; 1 Sister, Michelle Lawson, of Farmington; 3 Brothers: Jeffrey Lawson, of Farmington; Scott (& Lori) Lawson, of Jefferson City, MO; Eric (& Lori) Lawson, of Fenton, MO. Several Nieces & Nephews: Maridee Lawson; Michael, Nathan & Matthew Lawson. Brooke, Megan & Mandy Lawson. Also, several Aunts; Uncles; Cousins & many Friends.
Visitation : Monday, 5-9 p.m. Visitation resumes Tuesday @ 6:30 a.m.
Funeral : Tuesday, 11:00 a.m., October 28, 2008
at : TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, with Rev. Kevin Miller officiating.
Interment at Hillview Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Farmington.
Memorials to : * The Emily & Lanie Lawson Benefit Fund @ Farmington First State Bank.

We are so sorry to hear of your loss! Chris was a very nice guy with a great smile that would light up a room. Our memories of him, especailly at the racetrack and Tommy's will never be forgotten. Michelle & Jeff, I am so sorry for the loss of your brother. I had the privledge of meeting him several years ago and remember how he introduced himself to me, as Michelle and Jeff Lawson's little brother. He definitely made us laugh that night and his smile was contagious. Watching his actions as he talked and laughed was obvious he was your brother. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

To the family of Chris. I am truely sorry to hear of his passing. I have not seen Chris in quite a few years now but he was one heck of a guy and I will deeply miss him. I have had the pleasure of enjoying many years of great times with him. I could write a book about the times Chris, Eric and myself have had over the past 25 years. how do i start this, chris was a favorite cousin of mine and i will truly miss him. when my son kasey had a bad wreck at the track that knocked him out he was the first to me and told me he's tough just like me and will be alright, he stayed by me til they drove off and gave me a big hug and a kiss and said he has that welker blood in him and he will be fine which helped me so much. he was a great cousin of mine and i will really miss him alot. i cant believe he's gone, but not in spirit i will always carry him in my heart forever. may god bless aunt georgia and uncle david and everyone else especially his brothers and sister and his daughters. we will get through this with gods help. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends. Chris was a super person. It's been many years since I left Farmington, but you never forget the people you've grown up with and the good times shared. I specifically remember cruising around in his black Trans Am and playing Bon Jovi 7800 Degrees until our ears hurt. Those were the days. He will be missed dearly.
Chris was a good friend, he was outgoing, funny, smart, and a great guy to be around. He will always be in our thoughts and prayers. He will be missed very much. Our dearest sympathies go out to the girls.
