Clinton E. Pettus

May 18, 1942 ~ September 16, 2022

Clinton Pettus, 80, of Desloge, passed away September 16, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.  He was born May 18, 1942 in Bonne Terre to late Ernest and Prudence (White) Pettus and proudly served his country in the United States Army.  Clinton was a welder for Stupp Brothers for 25 years where he retired. Then he went to work for Farmington Correctional Center for 7 years before his final retirement.

 He loved riding his Harley, he took pride and joy in taking care of it to pass it down to his son Clint. Clinton also enjoyed playing cards, but his passion was spending time with his grandchildren and family.

 He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Glenda Boyd.

 Clinton is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Carol (Stegall) Pettus; son Clint Pettus and wife Megan; three grandchildren, Trenton, Rylan, Kendall Pettus; siblings, Norman Pettus and wife Nancy, Norma Rokan and husband Jerry.

 Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer & Son Chapel in Desloge on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Adams Hillcrest Cemetery in Bonne Terre with Rev. Randy Murphy officiating with full military honors.  Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge.
