Dallam Ray Pettus

February 20, 1939 ~ April 13, 2022

     Dallam “Dal” Ray Pettus, Sr. age,83 of Bonne Terre, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at Mercy South in St. Louis. He was born on Monday, February 20, 1939, in Bonne Terre to the late Dan and Lela Pratte-Pettus.

     Dal was a member of Marvin Chapel United Methodist Church,  Twice past Worshipful Master of Samaritan Lodge #424 in Bonne Terre, and past Worthy Patron of Eastern Star. He was a retired maintenance worker for the city of Flat River.  He loved his wife, kids, grandkids and great-grandkids dearly.  He enjoyed working on his farm and riding his Harley.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Retha Evans; grandson, Shane Hardin; son-in-law, Mark Howell; siblings, Bearl, Buford, Thelma, Virgil, Faye, Fern, Glenda and Farrell.  

     Dal is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Grace Reddick-Pettus; children, Beth Munoz, Dallam Pettus, Jr. and wife Angie, Brian Pettus and wife Tracey, Lisa White and husband Butch, Christopher Pettus and wife Nicki; twelve grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren; sister, Virgie Morris; son-in-law, Mike Evans along with numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends   He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

      Visitation will be held at C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre on Monday, April 18, 2022, from 10:00 AM until 12:45 PM  followed by a Masonic service.  Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM with Pastor Dave Wiant officiating. Burial to follow at Parkview Cemetery in Farmington.  Memorials may be directed to Samaritan Lodge #424 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

  1. I am so sorry for your loss. I enjoyed talking with Dallam at many gathering or just sitting in a front yard somewhere. His family always treated Mike and I like family. He definitely enjoyed being with his family. Dal and Grace have quite a legacy.

    May his soul rest in peace.
