DONALD HORTONDonald Horton, age 72, of Desloge passed away December 25, 2010 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. He was born February 7, 1938 in Frankclay, Missouri.He was a member of the UAW Local #25 working as a forklift driver at the General Motors plant in St. Louis. He owned and operated the Clothes Closet in Desloge for 12 years and worked in the maintenance department of Mineral Area College for a number of years.He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer P. and Hazel (Robinson) Horton; brother, Jack Horton.Donald is survived by his wife Marilyn J. (Slade) Horton of Desloge; son, Donnie Horton and wife Dawn of Long Lane, Missouri; daughter, Dana (Mrs. Rob Anderson) of Bonne Terre; six grandchildren, Mike Long, Angel Horton, Rhianna Horton, Randy Pipkin, Dilyn Pipkin, Ty Anderson; and six great-grandchildren, Bradlee, Jake, Isaac, Eli, Keagan, and Kolby.Visitation is 5:00 PM Wednesday (December 29, 2010) at C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge. Service will be 11:00 AM Thursday (December 30, 2010) at C. Z. Boyer & Son Chapel with Rev. Dennis Walker and Bill Pyatt officiating.
