Donna J Fambrough

February 27, 1960 ~ May 19, 2022

Donna Fambrough, age 62, of Bonne Terre, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Donna was born on Saturday, February 27, 1960 in Leadville, Colorado to the late Howard and Carolyn (Pettus) Hawkins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by father in-law Leslie B. Fambrough; brother in-law Jay Don Johnson. Donna was an active member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in DeSoto.

Donna proudly served her country in the United States Air Force where she was a crew chief on the F-4 Phantom and trained to work on the F-16. She loved Star Trek and home schooling her children.  

She is survived by her loving husband Leslie Fambrough of 43 years. Four children, Tommy (Mindy) Fambrough, Janetta (Craig) Fambrough Zehrbach, Cynthia (William) Stricklin, Nathanial (Breanna) Fambrough; four grandchildren, Luke, Gracelyn, Ezekiel, and Ethan; two sisters, Bonnie Johnson and Martha (Greg) Tyree; mothers in-law, Leta Gaither and Joan Fambrough; nieces, Maizie and Gabby Tyree and Bellanne Johnson; nephew, Kap Johnson and host of family and friends.

A Visitation will be held Sunday, May 22, 2022, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The visitation will resume at 10:00 AM Monday, May 23, 2022, in the C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel, until service time at 11:00 AM. Father James Holbrook officiating. Interment will follow at Bonne Terre Cemetery, with full Military honors.

Memorials may be made in honor of Donna, to the American Cancer Society or International Fellowship of Christians and Jews,

  1. I will love you always, you and Les were like parents to me . I remember taking our naps in the hallway in our apartment lol 😂 oh yeah and the homework oh man was that painful. Love you always 

  2. Donna and the kids of Norwine street grew up together: riding horses, exploring and being close cousins. Jean Pettus Hawkins was my Father's 1st cousin and Donna always reminded us that we were family. Donna will always be in our hearts. Cousin Becky&Anita

  3. Condolences to Donna’s  Family. I’m sorry that we all have lost a great person! Remarkable Wife, Mother, Sister and Friend. The hours we spent on the phone, discussing nothing then everything, plenty of topics! We laughed together, cried together and aggravated  the heck out of one another!!  The world’s not gonna be the same without you my friend.
