Edith Viola Turner

Edith Viola Turner, 93, of Farmington, passed away April 22, 2022 at Community Manor.  She was born Friday, December 20, 1928 in St. Francois County to the late Jess Alonzo and Maudie Viola (Rice) Hammers. She was also preceded in death by her son, Larry Turner; brothers, James Hammers, Chester Hammers, Carl Hammers; and sister, Linda Burger; daughter-in-law, Connie Harrington Turner.

She was a member of Harvest Christian Centre in Park Hills. Church and her children were her life.

Edith is survived by her children, Jesse (Sheila) Turner, Dean Turner, Tim (Kim) Turner, Charlene (Bill) Willis; 18 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Steve Hammers; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held at the C.Z. Boyer & Son – Taylor Chapel in Farmington on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the C.Z. Boyer & Son – Taylor Chapel with Rev. Heath Harris officiating. Interment will follow at Doe Run Memorial Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Alhzeheimer’s Association.
