EDMOND D. GIBSON Edmond D. Gibson, age 78, of Desloge, passed away March, 11, 2011 at Southbrook Skilled Nursing Center. He was born May, 27, 1932 in Cantwell.He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Cantwell Baptist Church, Desloge VFW post #2426, and a charter member of the Mineral Area Elks.He was preceded in death by three brothers Bobby, Eugene, and Vernon Gibson. Edmond is survived by his wife of 52 years Doris (Smith), daughter Lisa Craig (Mrs. Scott); grandchildren Taylor, Brad ( Richelle), Prudence Evans; great-grandchildren E.J. and Serenity Evans; best friend K-9 Bella; brothers Donald (JoAnn) Gibson of Desloge, Ronald "Button" (Juanita) Gibson of Park Hills; sister Patsy Forrester of Leadwood; sister-in-law Velma "Jetter" Gibson; many nieces, nephews, and friends. Service will be private. Interment will take place at a later date. Memorials man be made to the Diabetes Foundation. Arrangements under the direction of C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge.
