Elbert Dewey McDANIEL

August 1, 1929 ~ August 29, 2009

Mr. Elbert Dewey McDaniel passed away Saturday morning, August 29, 2009, at Parkland Health Center, South, in Farmington, at the age of 80 years and 28 days. Elbert was born August 1, 1929, in Coffman, Missouri, and was the son of the late Elliott E. McDaniel and Missouri Ida 'Jarratt' McDaniel. Also preceding-in-death were: his wife, Sally Marie 'Hamor' McDaniel, on April 1, 2003, and 1 Son, Eugene Earl McDaniel, on Dec. 29, 1990.

Elbert served as a US MARINE. He was a member of: * Pleasant Hill United Baptist Church; * the Cattleman's Association & * former member of the Coffman School Board.

Survivors Include : 1 Daughter, Cheryl 'Mrs. Dale' Rector; 3 Sons: Kenneth Lee McDaniel; Terry Lynn McDaniel & Todd Dewey McDaniel, all of Farmington. 4 Sisters: Shirley Ann Johnson, of Spencer, WI; Helen McDaniel, of Farmington; Rita 'Mrs. Glen' Wigenstein, of WI; Barbara 'Mrs. Ronald' Straughan, of Farmington. 1 Brother: Michael (& Cindy) McDaniel, of Farmington. Also surviving are 11 Grandchildren; 3 Great-Grandchildren & a Special Friend: Linda Barron, of Farmington.

Visitation : Sunday, 5-8 p.m. Visitation resumes Monday at 6:30 a.m.

Funeral : Monday, 1:00 p.m., August 31, 2009,

at : TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, with Rev. Bob Webb officiating.

Interment with full military honors follows at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Ste. Genevieve County. Elbert's procession will be lead by Patriot Guard Riders.   1. Todd, Dewey, Travis and Family, Our thoughts and prayers go out to you during this time of sadness. We know how sad it is to loose someone so dear as a dad. Remember we had to stand in that very same place 6 months ago. It isn't easy but one thing for sure you have a different situation and not what we had.
