Mr. Eugene Lawrence Graham, of Mahomet, IL., & formerly of Libertyville, MO., passed away Dec. 3, 2004, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL., at the age of 78 tears, 8 months & 7 days. Eugene was born March 26, 1926, in Libertyville, MO., to Raymond Chester Graham & Antonia Elizabeth 'Detring' Graham. Gene served in the US Army from Nov. 1944 until Nov. 1946. He farmed at Libertyville for 9 years following his separation from the Army. After leaving the farm, he worked in sales with several Fertilizer & Agricultural Chemical Companies as a Salesman & then advancing to District Sales Manager. Following his retirement in 1989, he enjoyed fishing & traveling as long as his health permitted. Gene proved to be a loyal friend to many acquaintenances, in his work, his neighborhood & his church. At the time of his death, many of these persons freely commented that "Gene was a good man." He was dearly loved by his family. Lord, may thy will be done. Survivors Include: His WIFE: Malva A. 'Crowder' Graham, of Mahomet, IL; 2 SONS: Raymond W. (& Teresa) Graham, of Newburg, IN; Donald E. (& Joann) Graham, of Longview, TX; 1 SISTER: Mabel E. Eaves, of Farmington; 3 BROTHERS: William F. (& Mildred) Graham, of Libertyville; Chester A. (& Glenda) Graham, of Libertyville; L. Max (& Ruth) Graham, of Libertyville. Also surviving are 4 Granddaughters & 3 Great-Grandchildren. Visitation Begins Tuesday, Dec. 7th @ 11:00 a.m. & Funeral Service, Tuesday, 1:30 pm @ TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, with Rev. Dale Berck officiating. Interment will follow in Parkview Cemetery, Farmington. Memorials may be made to: *The Nat'l Parks Conservation Assoc. &/or * Donor's Choice.
