Janet Cox, 77, of Farmington, passed away January 20, 2021, at home surrounded by her family. She was born September 9, 1943, in Farmington, to the late Cleo and Helen (Laramore) Wallen. Janet was a member and longtime clerk at the House of Praise Church of God in Desloge. She was also employed for many years at Commerce Bank and looked forward to working and going to church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Darrell “Buddy” Cox; brothers, Bruce and Jim Wallen; brothers in-law, Eddie Jenkins and Charles Hosking.
Janet is survived by her daughters, Darla Scheck and husband Dave, Dena Boyd and husband Jamie; grandchildren, Aaron (Leslie) Hickman, Jayden (Levi) Meister, Aubree Scheck, and Demie Boyd; great-granddaughter, Kynslie Hickman; siblings, Doris June Jenkins, Sherry Hosking, Nancy (David) Dill; sisters in-law, Dianna Wallen, Linda Wallen; in-laws, Shelby (Wes) Alkire, Nancy (Jerry) Sheets and Bev Pankey; many nieces and nephews also survive.
A graveside service will be held at Leadwood Cemetery, Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 11:00 AM. Memorials may be directed to hishandsfeet.org – Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge.

I am so very sad to hear this. What a special and beautiful lady. She was one of those amazing people that definately made a difference. Oh…the footprints she left…..and what a reunion with her loves—Buddy & God. RIP BEAUTIFUL LADY
