Jerry Moore

November 1, 1949 ~ May 12, 2022

         Jerry B. Moore, 72, of Park Hills, passed away May 12, 2022, at Mercy Jefferson in Festus.  He was born November 1, 1949, in Bonne Terre, to the late Clarance and Opal (Fleming) Moore. Jerry was an active member of Mineral Area Elks Lodge in Desloge. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife and being with his family. 

          He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Carroll Moore, Dean Ratford, Shirley Wills, Donald Moore, Brenda Burns, Delmar Moore and sisters-in-law, Kay Moore and Margaret Danley; brother-in-law, Ron Wright.

          Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Karen (Harris) Moore; children, Danette Moore, Rebecca Byerley and husband Andy, Josie Menz and husband Shane; step children, Kyle Valle and special friend Marie Hughes, Melissa O’Haver and husband Timothy; eleven grandchildren, Nicole Weiss, Aaron and Abigail Parmley, Alexa and Aubrey Menz, Kaitlyn Valle, Brandon, Zander, Keiran, Izik and Finn O’Haver; two great-grandchildren; siblings, Howard Moore, Larry Moore and wife Sherry, Dick Moore and wife Starr, Charles “Butch” Moore and wife Karen; sisters-in-law, Mary Moore, Anita Moore, Barb Wright, Patty Yount and husband Kelvin, Jamie Harris; brother-in-law, Richard Danley along with several nieces, nephews and friends.

          Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Sunday, May 15, 2022, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. with an Elks service starting at 7:00 PM. Visitation will resume 9:00 AM on Monday, May 16, 2022, until service time of 11:00 AM. Burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Leadington. Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association or Mineral Area Elks Lodge.

  1. Karen, I am so sorry for your loss.  Jerry was so good to us when Bonnie passed away.  You and the family are in our prayers.

  3. I only knew Jerry from mineral elks bingo nights on mon. He was a special man. A good man as well. He will be deeply missed. So sorry to hear of his passing. I am the red head who sat back by the pull tabs n water.

  4. I went to Esther School with Jerry and his brothers. He was always happy and smiling. He's definitely going to be missed. My deepest sympathy for his entire family.
