Joseph Al Cain, of Irondale, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at his residence on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at the age of 56. He was born Wednesday, May 10, 1967 in Potosi, to the late Al and Mary (Boyer) Cain. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by two sisters, Brenda Ledbetter and Irene Cain; brother, Ricky Cain; two grandchildren, Jaidin Cain and Kaidin Roberts.
Joe’s enjoyment was riding his motorcycle, mushroom hunting, fishing, yard sales, looking for antiques and hanging with his buddies. He was quite the prankster. He was an avid coin and rock collector. He loved being outdoors and was always on the go. But most importantly, was his love for his children and grandchildren and spending time with them.
Joe is survived by his children, Mindy (Jason) Short, Misty Cain and significant other, Carl Roberts, Joe Cain Jr., Corey Cain, and Ceaira Coleman; seven grandchildren, Tanner, Jaicie, Zaydin, Anleigh, Lucas, Izzy, and Carson; sisters, Kathy Warren, Virgil (Debbie) Cain and Virginia (Austin Mauer) Huff; special friend, Linda Dobbs; along with several nieces and nephews who also survive. Joe will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, from 12:00 PM until the time of service at 1:00 PM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre with Pastor Michael Barton officiating. Interment will follow at Johnson Cemetery in Tiff, MO. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to help the family with funeral expenses to C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home or by calling the funeral home directly.
