Mr. Joseph M. Weadon, Jr. passed away late Monday evening, July 21, 2008, at his rural Farmington residence at the age of 55 years, 10 months & 10 days. Joseph was born Sept. 11, 1952, in Bonne Terre, MO., to Joseph M. Weadon, Sr. & Viola Mae 'Shelton' Weadon. Also preceding in death was his 1st wife, Vicki Lynn 'Huff' Weadon.

Joseph was a member of Meadow Heights Church in Fredericktown, MO. He was a loving father & husband & a dedicated Christian. He recently retired fron the Ste. Genevieve Co. Sheriff's Dept., & was an avid hunter, fisherman & enjoyed the outdoors.

Survivors Include: his Wife: Gay Ann 'Sullivan' Weadon, of Farmington; 2 Sons: Joseph M. (& Erica) Weadon, III, of Sikeston & Jeremy L. (& Sarah) Weadon, of Jackson. 3 Step-Children: Luke Lustick, Molly Lustick & Dillon Lustick, all of the home. 2 Sisters: Vicki 'Mrs. Randy' Malan, of Glen Carbon, Illinois & Deborah 'Mrs. Clayte' Jones, of French Village. 3 Brothers: Timothy (& Karen) Weadon, of Green Bank, West Virginia; David (& Paula) Weadon, of DeSoto & Rob (& Patti) Weadon, of Hillboro. Also, many other family members & friends.

Visitation: 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 23, 2008, at Farmington First Free Will Baptist Church.

Funeral : Wednesday, 1:00 p.m., July 23rd

at : Farmington First Free Will Baptist Church, (305 W. Columbia St. - Farmington 63640 573.756.8933) with Rev. Steve Loveless, officiating, assisted by Rev. David Bates & Chaplain Ray Chappell.

Interment : Three Rivers Cemetery, in Ste. Genevieve County.

  2. I am so sorry to hear about the death of Joe. I have worked with him the entire time that I have been at the Sheriff's Department. I will miss Joe coming into my office and sitting down and just chatting with me. I have heard all kinds of stories from him, all good, and mostly about Gay Ann and all his children. I will miss him dearly, he is a great friend and I know he will be with me the rest of my life. Rest in peace Joe.

I believe that when God wants us to come home he will bring us home, no matter how selfish we are here on Earth. My prayers are with you and your family. I know Joey enjoyed life, because he always so energetic!

I know Joe isn't suffering anymore and he is and will forever now and always watch over and protect each of you. I know it is still hard, though. Remember to look to the hills for whence cometh your help as your help cometh from the Lord. Live you life like Joey and you will see him again. The bible states, that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Remember that it is thru death that one is born into eternity. We are sure that Joey is patrolling Heaven.
