Joyce Jackson, 89, of Desloge, passed away June 21, 2023, at her home. She was born September 14, 1933, in Roxana, Illinois, to the late Henry Ernst and Elsie Elizabeth (Mettler) Rethorn. Joyce enjoyed quilting, crossword puzzles and casinos.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leonard “Pete” Jackson; five brothers and two sisters.
Joyce is survived by daughters, Deborah “Debbie” (Stanley Schnaare) Dill, Joyce “Diane” Smith, and Julie (Charlie) Johnson; grandchildren, Christopher, Aaron, Joshua, Jared and Holly; and twelve great-grandchildren.
A memorial visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Wednesday, June 28, 2023, from 5:00 PM until the time of service at 7:00 PM. Stan Schnaare will be officiating.
