Kathy cooked hamburgers every Friday for everyone and anyone that came to her house. Not only did she cook them, she joyfully cooked them and made sure everyone that wanted one(or 2 or 3) got their fill before closing down the kitchen. My family received those burgers and love on an impromptu trip to go shopping at a clothing warehouse there in Bonne Terre, with Danny and Carla Pyeatt and A’Laura, our beloved Pastor and friends, at that time.
Kathy was also a big encouragement to me after the unexpected death of my precious baby boy, Patrolman Lane Burns. She loved him and was proud of him, because he was my child and because he proudly protected the community of her beloved city of Bonne Terre, Mo. He was killed doing that very thing. Little did we know that she would go to be with Jesus a little over 14 months after that.
Kathy was loved by us and she will not be forgotten by the Burns family!

So sorry for the family and to David. I know how much everyone loved her. She was ALWAYS good to me. She let me call her “Kate.” She would let me know too. I will keep & cherish all our memories with me. RIP gal, Love, Patty
