Larry Claywell

          Larry Claywell, 84, of Park Hills, passed away May 5, 2022, at Parkland Health Center in Farmington.  He was born December 30, 1937, in Flat River, to the late Rolla “Johnny” and Nellie Faye (Jarrell) Claywell.  Larry worked for Yellow Freight for 29 years and was a member of the Teamsters Union local 600.  He enjoyed traveling, going to air shows, building model airplanes, flight simulators and going to Hardee’s to fulfill his coffee club membership, but most of all, he loved his children, grandchildren and was the greatest grandpa.

          He was preceded in death by his parents; and two grandbabies, Bailey Williamson, Dakota House; a great-grandchild in infancy; and one sister, Joann Sundhausen.

          Larry is survived by his wife, Ingrid (Romero) Claywell; twelve children, Robin (Mark) Ballheimer, Leslie (Kent) Steffens, Holly (Jason) Underwood, Briana (Arron Eaton) Dunn, Tressie Grogan, Martie Meyers, J.T. (Emmie) Parks, Alicia Storie, Chandra House, Kristen Renshaw, John Renshaw, Allison (Nathan) Sharp and Eduardo Cruz; forty-two grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren.

          Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Monday, May 9, 2022, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 12:00 PM.  Reverend Joshua Kennon will be officiating. Interment will follow at Herod Cemetery in Desloge.  Memorials may be directed to the Farmington Pet Adoption Center or Herod Cemetery, in lieu of flowers.
