Mr. LeRoy Howard passed away Thursday, July 19, 2007, at Missouri Baptist Medical Center, St. Louis County, MO., at the age of 87 years, 4 months & 23 days. Leroy was born Feb. 26, 1920, in Sikeston, MO., & was the son of John Wesley Howard & Norma Lee 'Jenkins' Howard. Also preceding were: 3 Sisters: Pearl Jokerst; Betty Brotherton & Mamie Howard. 3 Brothers: James Howard; Albert Howard, & 1 brother, in-infancy.

LeRoy was: * a member of Farmington First Baptist Church; * a US Air Force Veteran of World War II; & * a member of LePere-McCallister American Legion Post #416 of Farmington. LeRoy & LaDon would have celebrated their 65th Wedding Anniversary on August 1, 2007 !

Survivors Include: his wife, LaDon 'Kocher' Howard, of Farmington. 1 Son: Jim (& Dolores) Howard, of Farmington. 3 Sisters: Flossie Hager, of Los Angeles, CA; Loretta 'Mrs. Everett' Masters, of Marble Hill, MO; Verna Lawrence, of Perryville. 1 Brother: William L. (& Wanda) Howard, of Perryville; 1 Brother-In-Law: Luther "Junior" Brotherton, of Perryville. 3 Grandchildren: Jennifer Lynne; John Wesley & Joshua James Howard. Also surviving are several Nieces; Nephews & Cousins.

Visitation: Sunday, 5-8 p.m. Visitation resumes Monday, 7:00 a.m.

Funeral: Monday, 10 am, July 23, 2007,

at: TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, with Dr. William C. Miller officiating.

Interment with Full Military Honors will be held at Hillview Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Farmington.

Memorials to : * Farmington First Baptist Church; * American Heart Association; * American Diabetes Association &/or * American Cancer Society.

  6. I've worked at Ryan's for a long time, where LeRoy and LaDon became a part of our family. We will all miss seeing them together, brightening our time on the job. I appreciated the funeral service very much, and look forward to seeing him in heaven. I realized this afternoon that Ryan's was not the only restaurant family they have, for as I was leaving town, I saw the marquis at Huddle House say what we all feel: We will miss you deeply, LeRoy.

  7. I met the Howards at Parkland ER and found them to be such a very special couple. He wanted to waltz at their 65th anniversary party. My prayers go out to his family. I know God will walk with your family throught this time of sorrow. Sincerely, Carolyn

  8. Dear Aunt LaDon and Cousin Jimmy, Im so sorry to hear about Uncle LeRoy. What a loss to your family. I have many fond memories of all of you and vividly remember your trip to California when Jimmy was a teenager. Its been about 16 years since I was last out there but you are dear to me. Your in my thoughts and prayers. I was comforted to know that Uncle LeRoy was a believer and that I will see him in paradise one day.   9. I will miss Leroy alot I have missed him and ladonna alot since i havent worked at ryan and went to walmart he will be missed im sorry for such a great person to be gone from us
