On May 31, 2023, Lori Dickerson was called home by her Lord and Savior, whom she loved deeply. She was born July 26, 1971, in Matthews, MO to the late Lloyd “Jerry” and Frankie Mae (Jones) Hicks. She attended Primrose Baptist Church in Bonne Terre.

Lori had a servant’s heart and touched many lives. She was steadfast in her faith and trusted God throughout her life. Lori took every opportunity to serve the Lord including her time volunteering at Shared Blessings as well as her time working with local church youth groups and Midwest Horse Company. In her free time, Lori enjoyed spending time with her family that she loved dearly. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched, serving as a reminder of the importance of love, kindness and compassion in our lives.

In addition to her parents, Lori was preceded in death by three siblings, Julie, Sam, and Scotty Hicks.

Lori was a loving wife to her husband of 23 years, Dave Dickerson, Jr.; caring mother to her children, Monica Dorris, Cody (fiance, Abby Bess) Dickerson and Jerron Dickerson; adoring Lolli to her grandkids, Makenna Dorris, L. J. Dorris and Waylon Dickerson; caring mama to her fur baby, Carmel the Cocker Spaniel; sister to, Penny (Cliff) Beasley, Janie (Mike) Drews, Donna Rose Fabey and Danny (Donna) Hicks. Lori had several nieces, nephews, other family members and special friends, which will truly miss her.

Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Friday, June 2, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. The visitation will resume, Saturday, June 3, 2023, from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 2:00 PM. Reverend Randy Murphy will be officiating. Interment will follow at St. Francois Memorial Park in Bonne Terre. Memorials may be directed to Shared Blessings in Bonne Terre.

She always spoke of her love for the Lord and shared many a prayer with its residents. She touched so many lives in one way or another. My heart goes out to David, her children and all whose lives touched this amazing lady. RIP my dear friend, Lori!
