Magdeline “Maggie” Ann Sorbello, age 87, of Farmington, passed away Friday, July 16, 2021, at Camelot Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation. She was born on Tuesday, January 30, 1934, in Portageville.
Maggie worked at the R. F. Spaghetti Factory as a machine operator. After leaving the factory, she volunteered at the Bonne Terre Head Start as a cook for 18 years and never missed a day. She was a 40+ year member of Bonne Terre Church of God and attended Victory Worship Center in Bonne Terre. Her greatest joy in life was taking care of her kids and grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Ellen (Blevins) Comstock; loving husband, Santo Frederick Sorbello, Sr.; two sons, Santo F. “Rick” Sorbello, Jr. and Gerald Sorbello; daughter-in-law, Amy Sorbello; son-in-law, William Bingham; grandsons, Caleb Elliott and Paden Sorbello; siblings, Gerald Comstock, Mary Boyet and Glenda Peckman.
Maggie is survived by twelve children, Sandra Sorbello, Liz (Scott) Broffett, Donna (John) Hitchcock, Ronda (Paul) Chamberlain, Ruth Sorbello, Glenda Jo (Lee) Elliott, Jerome Sorbello, Bill (Jill) Sorbello, Brian Sorbello, Karen Grace Bingham, Robert Sorbello and Angie (Larry) White; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Ron (Marsha) Comstock, William Comstock and Margaret (Ken) Kerkhoff along with several nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorial Visitation will be held Friday, July 23, 2021, from 10:00 AM until Service time of 12:00 PM (Noon) at C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge. Services will be streamed live at noon on C. RIP MAGGIE, I HAD THE PRIVILEGE OF KNOW MAGGIE WHEN I WENT TO SCHOOL W/HER KIDS & LIVING IN BONNE TERRE ALSO, BUT GOT TO KNOW MAGGIE BETTER WHEN WE BOTH WERE RESIDENTS AT CAMELOT,….MRS MAGGIE WAS QUITE THE BINGO PLAYER & SHE LOVED THE LORD JESUS CHRIST WHEN WE STILL WERE HAVING CHURCH SERVICES MAGGIE WAS ALWAYS THERE THEN WE QUUT FOR SOME REASON AND HAD A FEW RESIDENTS HAD BIBLE STUDY IN THE HALLS & WOULD SING GOSPEL HYMNS, MAGGIE WAS ALWSYS IN ATTENDANCE…SHE DEFINATEKY LOVED THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN MAG,😇💗❣💖
