Marian L. Umfleet, 76, of Farmington passed away June 4, 2022 at Southbrook Skilled Nursing Center. She was born February 22, 1946 in Detroit, MI. Marian worked for Parkland Health Center as a Medical Staff Coordinator for over 30 years. She enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas, spending time with her family, and especially cooking for them.
She was preceded in death by her father, Alex Shibley and one brother, Michael Shibley.
Marian is survived by her mother, Virgie (Dorris) Shibley; four children, Lisa Mengwasser and husband Tony, Jeff Umfleet and wife Tina, Donna Armenta, Denise Snow; ten grandchildren, Zach (Lauren) Thomas, Josh Thomas, Jackson and Emma Umfleet, Macey and Geoffrey Osborn, Ryan Klein, Kelsey Mengwasser, Kayla (Larry) Pratte, Kyle Mengwasser; two great-grandchildren, Katie and Olivia Pratte; one brother, Richard Shibley and wife Carol; along with many other loving family members.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 8, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge. Visitation will resume at 9:00 AM on Thursday at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge until the time of service at 11:00 AM with Rev. Alan Berry officiating. Interment will follow at St. Francois Memorial Park in Bonne Terre. Memorial may be made to Life Center for Independent Living at P.O. Box 967, Farmington, MO 63640.

Marian Elaine Umfleet of Desloge, Missouri, was born on August 23, 1948 in Meta, Missouri, a daughter to Elsworth Rowden and Opal (Adkins) Rowden. On July 22, 1989, Marian was united in marriage to Terry Umfleet. Marian passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at Parkland Health Center, having reached the age of 73 years, 7 months and 7 days.
Those left behind to cherish her memory include her husband, Terry Umfleet; son, Robert Barnett (wife, Donyelle); step daughter, Jamie Wruck (husband, David); three grandchildren: Ethan, Shelby, and Kenzie Barnett; two step granddaughters: Isabelle and Luca Wruck; five siblings: Boyd Rowden (wife, Debbie), Sandy Rowden, Pam Rowden, Verline Hart (husband, Henry), Mark Rowden (wife, Wendy); mother-in-law, Delores Umfleet; In-Laws: Sherrie Adkins, Jenny Rowden, Gary Elders, Diane Martin, Carolyn Rosener, Marty & Lisa Umfleet; many nieces, nephews and extended family.
In addition to her parents, Marian was preceded in death by three siblings: Myrl Adkins, Lonnie Rowden, Nancy Elders.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 1, 2022 from 5 to 8 PM at CZ Boyer Funeral Home in Desloge. Visitation will resume on Saturday, April 2nd from 9 AM until the time of her Funeral Service at 11 AM held in the CZ Boyer Chapel. Bro. Mark Moss will be officiating. Entombment will follow at the St. Francois Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of DeClue Funeral Home in Potosi.
