Mike "Bluegill" Smith

          Mike “Bluegill” Smith, 70, of Park Hills, passed away May 5, 2021, surrounded by friends and family members.  He was born October 20, 1950, in St. Louis, to the late William Forrest and Dorothy Fern (Tripp) Smith.  Mike loved to hunt, fish, camp and work in the garden.  He could fix just about anything.          

          He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Brenda Lee Johnston-Smith.         

          Mike was survived by his wife, Jennifer (Pool) Smith; children, Michael (Jenn) Smith, Christine DeBlois, Joshua (fiancé, Krystal Warden) Smith, Hollie (fiancé, Joseph Hatfield) DeBlois, Jessica (fiancé, Caressa Stroup) Smith; grandchildren, Haley, Christian, Alex, Keyra, Selena, Mariah, Jackson, Colton, Karsyn, Aiden, Jonah, Forrest, Anthony, and Lucas; great-granddaughter, Kiera; siblings, Barbara Lynn Skaggs and William Raymond (Peggy) Smith; several nieces, nephews, and friends also survive.  

          Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Monday, May 10, 2021, from 11:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM.  Memorials may be directed in memory of Mike to the Foundation for Fighting Blindness.
