He was born March 22, 1924 in Melrose, Massachusetts.He received a BA degree from Boston University and served in the U.S. Marines during WW II. He was a member of the Desloge VFW 2426.Norman was preceded by his parents, Millard and Georgie (Matthews) Tibbetts; his wife Mary Louise (Jorgenson) Tibbetts; brother, Alden Tibbetts; two sisters, Virginia Leland and Shirley Whitman.He is survived by one son, Jeff Tibbetts and wife Keena of Traverse City, MI; daughters, Carol (Mrs. David Frink) of Birmingham, Michigan, Ellen Rose and husband David Yon of Ashville, NC, Allyson (Mrs. Fred Bryant) of Nashville, TN; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; sister, Marjorie Tilton of Belleair Bluffs, FL.Visitation is 6:00 PM, Thursday, July 14, 2011 at C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Missouri, followed by a memorial service at 7:00 PM with Rev.
