Patsy "Pat" A. SCHELL

April 15, 1935 ~ November 30, 2010

Mrs. Patsy A. "Pat" Schell passed away early Tuesday morning, November 30, 2010, at her Farmington residence at the age of 75 years, 7 months & 15 days. Pat was born on April 15, 1935, in Leachville, Arkansas, and was the daughter of Orval Metcalf & Hattie Claudia 'Wright' Metcalf. Also preceding-in-death was a son-in-law, Dr. Rick Ferguson.

Pat was: * an original core group member that planted New Heights Church; * a former longtime, faithful member of Farmington First Baptist Church; * she loved to garden; cook and spoil her grandkids. Pat was united in marriage to Allan Douglass Schell on Aug. 7, 1953, in Monette, Ark.

Survivors Include : her husband, Allan Douglass Schell, of Farmington; a daughter, Katherine Ferguson Litton, of Mobile, Alabama. 2 Sons: Christopher Schell, of Herculaneum, MO., & Phillip Schell, of Tampa, FL. Son-In-Law: Dr. Ed Litton, of Mobile, AL. 1 Brother: Joe W. (& Jo Ann) Metcalf, of CA; 6 Grandchildren: Brett (& Rachel) Ferguson; Kate Ferguson; Justin (& Lindsey) Ferguson; Hannah Schell; Mackenzie Schell and Tyler Schell. 3 Great-Grandchildren: Aubrielle Ferguson; Lily Ferguson & Eli Marshall.

Visitation : Friday, 5-8 p.m. Visitation resumes Saturday, 6:30 - 9 a.m.

Visitation Saturday at Farmington First Baptist Church, starting at 10 am

Funeral : Saturday, 11:00 a.m., December 4, 2010

at : Farmington First Baptist Church, with Rev. Rocky Good officiating.

Interment at : Hillview Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Farmington.

Memorials to: * New Heights Church - Building Fund.

  1. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to your family. I worked with Pat at FSCB and I dearly loved her. I learned alot from her. She was an awesome lady and will be missed very much.

Watching her wave her hand along with the music was something I will never forget. I will miss getting to give her a hug during Howdy time. What an amazing gift from God she was! I will miss her so! You are in my prayers!

  5. So sorry to hear of Pat's passing, I remember her while she was working in Harold's office. You have my sympathy, I lost Harold last Dec. 2009. Patsy Pratte

Her remarkable courage and endurance these past 7 years has provided a model for living to all of us connected with her life. We pray for you, the family – as you enter this season of life.

Having lost my mother suddenly last year I have recent and subjective experience, knowing quite well what you and your family are going thru right now.   12. Allen, we are sorry to learn of the death of your wife, Pat. This will be a sad Christmas for you and your family. Our prayers will be said tonight. December 4th is our grandson's 10 Birthday. Jace and his twin brothers Drake and Landon live with us full time. The twins will be 9 years old on January 23rd,2011. We will be traveling out of town for Jace's celebration. Again our deepest sympathy.

  13. To the Schell Family. Our Lord has welcomed home one of his precious Children. My what a celebration that must be going on!!! You are a wonderful family that I have known the last 10+ years. Words cannot describe the friendship, love, and sharing I've experienced with Phillip, his children and parents! We love your family and share in your grief but also celebrate in seeing our Lord's chosen one going home! Love Hugh and Family!
