Phyllis Ann (Curry) Embry, age 78, of Mineral Point, passed away Thursday, February 10, 2022, at Potosi Manor. She was born on Wednesday, August 4, 1943, in St. Louis to the late Lloyd Eugene and Beatrice Lucille (Lawson) Curry. Phyllis enjoyed tending to her flowers, watching birds, reading, caring for any stray animal that came around her and watching St. Louis Cardinal baseball.
She was preceded in death to her parents; two husbands, Michael Lashley and Edward Lee Embry; and one daughter, Carolyn Lashley.
Phyllis is survived by her son, Michael Lee Lashley and wife Kim, brother, Ron Curry and wife Cindy, sisters, Joan Warren and husband Cecil, Judy Farmer; along with many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Sunday, February 13, 2022, from 2:00 PM until service time of 3:00 PM. Pastor Cecil Warren will be officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Farmington Pet Adoption.
I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Phyllis. I can remember you in my early years when you were at Aunt Bea’s and family gatherings. Fly high with the angels until we meet again
