Ray W. Boyd

Ray W. Boyd, 78, of Bonne Terre, passed away January 13, 2022 at St. Joe Manor. He was born on June 27, 1943 in Ironton to his parents, the late Leodel and Annie (Statler) Boyd.
Ray was a longtime resident of Bonne Terre where he served his community through various past organizations like the Bonne Terre Jaycees Club. He was what you would call a fixture around town, you either seen him driving around or at his favorite spot next to the lake telling stories. Ray was very supportive of his local fire and police departments. He was a graduate of the Bonne Terre High School class of 1963.
Ray is survived by his dear friends of Bonne Terre.
A Graveside service will be held at ST. Francois Memorial Park on Wednesday January 19, 2022 at 1 pm. The procession from Boyer Funeral Home will leave at 12:45 pm, for a the scheduled graveside service. The arrangements are under the care of C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre.

Thank you Ray for being my friend.
Friends since 3rd grade. I never heard of anyone saying anything ill of Ray; or of him saying anything bad about anyone else. Ray was a friend to anyone he ever met. A uniquely “one of a kind” individual. I am proud to have had Ray as a friend. P
All of us at the old Bonne Terre High School loved Ray Boyd. He was the kindest person I think I ever met and always enjoyed hearing our stories. When I think about growing up in Bonne Terre, Ray is one of those people I will always remember.
