Mr. Raymond Darrel Leach passed away on Feb. 11, 2008, at Des Peres Hospital in St. Louis County, Missouri, at the age of 70 years, 1 month & 21 days. Raymond Darrel was born on December 20, 1937, in St. Louis, MO., & was the son of the late Raymond & Olene 'Maupin' Leach.

Raymond Darrel served in the US ARMY Reserves for 6 years. He was a member of the Mineral Area Woodcarvers & loved wood carving and wood working. He retired from the St. Louis Procter & Gamble Plant.

Survivors Include : His wife, Kathryn R. "Kay" (Frangel) Leach, of Farmington. 2 Daughters: Jan 'Mrs. Michael' Birly, of O'Fallon, MO & Jill 'Mrs. Christopher' Nevels, of Hazelwood, MO. 4 Grandchildren: Holly & Kaytlin Nevels; Sean & Mikaela Birly. Brother-In-Law: William "Bill" (& Maureen) Frangel, of Farmington. Also surviving are 1 Niece; 1 Nephew; 1 Aunt; 2 Cousins & numerous Friends.

Visitation Starts : Friday, 9:30 a.m.

Funeral : Friday, 10:30 a.m., Feb. 15, 2008,

at : TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, with Rev. Pete Soens officiating.

Interment : Calvary Cemetery - 5239 W. Florissant Ave. - St. Louis, MO. 63115 (314) 381.1313

  7. Jan, That was a beautiful tribute video. I remember the day of your rehearsal dinner your Dad walked up to me and said "Hey John, you clean up pretty well!" I thought that was one of the funniest things I'd ever heard and every time I hear that phrase I think of your Dad.

We are thankful to have known Darrel these past 18 years, to have laughed (and been laughed at a few times!), shared the births of his grandkids, and am glad we have several pieces of his wood work around our home to remind us of him.
