Mr. Robert B. "Bob" Smith, of Farmington, passed away early Saturday morning, Aug. 16, 2008, at Mineral Area Regional Medical Center, Farmington, at the age of 82 years, 10 months & 12 days. Robert was born Oct. 4, 1925, in Farmington, to Lee Edward Smith & Lucinda Lee 'Green' Smith. Also preceded-in-death by 2 Sisters, Mary Jane Smith, in-infancy & Rachel Hinkle. Also, 1 Brother, Edward Smith, at birth.
Robert was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Farmington; a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII & a Lifetime member of the Norman L. Rigdon VFW Post #5896, of Farmington.
Survivors Include : his WIFE, Dorothy M. 'Thomas' Smith, of Farmington. 1 DAUGHTER: Jane Ann 'Mrs. Mark' Basler, of Farmington. 2 SONS: Glenn Joseph (& Carla) Smith, of Shelbyville, KY; George Alan Smith, of Farmington. 1 SISTER: Betty 'Mrs. William' French, of Cape Girardeau, MO; Also surviving are 4 Grandchildren & 2 Great-Grandsons.
Visitation : Monday, 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Memorial Service : Monday, 1:00 p.m.
at : TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, with Rev. David Oddi officiating.

Glen, I'm sorry to hear about the passing of your father. You and your family have our deep sympathy. I know what you are going through in that I have lost both of my parents in the last few years. It seems like it was just yesterday that I had him as a teacher. I'm sorry but I will not be able to attend any of the service. You and your family will be in our prayers. Keith and Pam Hunt
