Rosella LENZ

November 22, 1928 ~ September 7, 2009

Mrs. Emma Rosella 'Winebarger' Lenz passed away Monday morning, Sept.7, 2009, at ClaRu DeVille Nursing Home, Fredericktown, MO, at the age of 80 years, 9 months, & 15 days. Rosella was born Nov. 22, 1928, in Avon, MO., & was the daughter of Vivan Rosemore Winebarger & Carrie Viola 'Miller' Winebarger. Also preceding-in-death was a brother, Herman Winebarger (2008).

Rosella was a member of the Farmington First Free Will Baptist Church. She was united in marriage to John Lucas Lenz, in Farmington, on May 28, 1947. They were married for 62 years.

Survivors Include : her husband, John Lucas Lenz; 3 Daughters: Barbara 'Mrs. Carl' Dement; Imogene Lenz; Gale 'Mrs. Greg' Nielsen. 2 Sons: Carl Thomas Lenz; Michael John (& Missy) Lenz, all of Farmington. 4 Sisters: Lorene 'Mrs. Elmer' Hana, of St. Louis; Juanita 'Mrs. Truman' Hawthorne, of O'Fallon, MO; Martha 'Mrs. Lewis' Gibbs, of Arizona; Mae 'Mrs. John' Peterman, of Springfield, MO. 1 Brother, Donald (& Shirley) Winebarger, of Farmington. Also surviving are 9 Grandchildren; 10 Great-Grandchildren; numerous Nieces & Nephews.

Visitation : Thursday, 5-8 p.m. Visitation resumes Friday @ 6:30 a.m.

Funeral : Friday, 10:00 a.m., September 11, 2009

at : TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, with Rev. Roger Hogan & Rev. Randy Rains officiating.

Interment follows at : Libertyville Methodist Cemetery.

  1. John , i am so sorry for your loss, i know of losing my husband of 30 years , how it hurt me. Rosella was a wonderful woman and has tuaght me many things when we lived next to your farm . She will not be forgotten. God Bless you and your family. Cheryl ROMERO

  2. My deepest sympathies to all the family, may God be with you in your time of need. I hope you all remember me from childhood, her Father was my Grandmothers brother and her Mother was my Grandfathers sister so she was double 1st cousin to my mother. Special prayers for Barb, Carl, Imogene, and Gale.

  3. Our prayers are with the family. We remember the wonderful smile of Sister Lenz from our days at Farmington Church. God give you all peace during your time of grief.

  4. John and family, my heart is sadden today of hearing of your loss. Your family has always gave memories that I will never forget. Up until recent months I had no idea who Rosella Lenz was, but that is no one's fault other than my own. Lenz family and the extended family were blessed to be friends of my family and many others prayers will continue to bring you comfort.
