Mrs. Ruth 'Findley' Mell, of Farmington, passed away early Thursday, Sept. 29, 2005, at NHC HealthCare,f Desloge, at the age of 80 years, 5 months & 1 day. Ruth was born April 28, 1925, in St. Louis, MO., to Edward F. Findley & Sylvia May 'Jones' Findley.

Ruth was a member of The Apostolic Light House Pentecostal Church, of Farmington & aretired member of the IBEW Electrical Workers Union - Local #1.

Survivors Include: 1 Daughter, Marla Wilcox, of Farmington; 1 Son, Gregory Dean Mell, of Farmington; 1 Sister, Grace Mildred Gratton, of Farmington. 4 Brothers: William Edward Findley & Wanda Chronister, of St. Louis; Jesse (& Sue) Findley, of St. Louis; Robert Eugene (& Joyce) Findley, of St. Louis; George (& Betty) Findley, of St. Louis. 1 Grandson, Todd Alan Umfleet, of Farmington; 1 Granddaughter, Audrey Lauren (Mell) Edwards, of Farmington. Very Special Nieces: Londa Brooks & her children, Brooke & John Huitt and Donna Smallen.

Visitation: Friday, 5-9 pm @ TAYLOR Funeral Service, Inc., Farmington.

Visitation resumes: Saturday, 7:00 a.m.,

Funeral: Saturday, 11 am, Oct. 1, 2005, at TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, with Rev. James Molter officiating.

Interment: Hillview Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Farmington.

  1. Marla, Gregg, Iwas so shocked to see your Mother's Obituary in the paper tonight I had planned to go see her tonight but was exhausted after work. I had told my parents we were going to see her and she told me she had passed away I am so sorry. Iloved her so much and we had such good times over the years. I have a lot of wonderful memories with her. Robie and I will try to make it to the visitation Friday but we are not going to be available during the funeral Again I am so sorry and I loved Ruth so much and all my thoughts and Prayers go out to you all.   2. To RUTHS FAMILY YOU ALL HAVE OUR DEEPEST SYMPATHY. ANY ONE THAT NEW RUTH LOVED HER.AND WE DID LOVE HER SO MUCH, WE JUST CONSIDER HER ONE OF OUR FAMILY MEMBERS. RUTH SHARED SO MUCH WITH US.SHE WAS ALWAYS SHARING HER PICTURES OF HER TRIPS SHE TOOK AND SHE HAD SO MUCH KNOWLEDGE TO SHARE. RUTH WAS A PERSON TO TALK TO FOR ADVICE WHICH SHE WAS ALWAYS GLAD TO GIVE IT WITH LOVE.WE WILL MISS HER BUT WE ALL KNOW SHE DIDNT LIKE THE PAIN SHE HAS HAD FOR A LONG TIME. THE PAIN YOU HAVE WE ALL SHARE WITH YOU BUT NOW SHE IS HOME IN PEACE WATCHING US SEE IF WE GET IT RIGHT IN OUR LIVES. THE MEMORIES WILL CARRY ALL OF US FOREVER AND EVER.
