Shirley L. Zimmerman

Shirley Lee Zimmerman, 76, of Goose Creek passed away March 14, 2011 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. She was born June 23, 1934 in St. Louis. She was a member of the Goose Creek Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas J. and Iva G. (King) Slinger; first husband, Robert Dallas; second husband, Ted Zimmerman; daughter, Russella Boots; grandson, Army Spc. Ernie Dallas, Jr. who was killed in action in Iraq. Shirley is survived by four children, Ernie Dallas of Goose Creek, Kay (Mrs. Jim) Gammache of St. Louis, Jimmy Dallas and wife Pam of St. Louis, Allen Dallas and wife Pam of Festus; eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Violet "Skippy" Brown of St. Louis.Visitation will be Thursday, March 17, 2011 from 9:30 AM until 11 AM at Goose Creek Baptist Church. Service will be Thursday at 11 AM at Goose Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Ed Despain officiating. Burial will follow at 1:15 PM at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
