Mrs. Virgie H. Brown passed away August 4, 2004, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis County, MO., at the age of 78 years, 4 months & 10 days. She was born March 24, 1926, in Cantwell, MO., to Kelly & Lizzie 'Welland' Boland. Also preceding in death were: her 1st husband, Melvin N. Thomure (1970); 1 Son, Larry Lee Thomure (1969, killed-in-action during the Viet Nam War); 1 Sister, Viola Danieley & 1 Brother, Jesse Boland. Virgie * was a member of Libertyville United Methodist Church; * retired from the U.S.D.A. in Ste. Genevieve with 36.5 yrs service & * was a Parkland Auxillary member & worked in the Gift Shop. SURVIVORS INCLUDE: Her HUSBAND - Tom Brown, of Farmington; 1 SON: Dennis (& Sharon) Thomure, of Coffman; 2 STEP-DAUGHTERS: Marcia Jean (Mrs. Lloyd) Haims - of Alto Passe, Illinois & Deborah (Mrs. Craig) Huhmann, of St. Louis. 1 BROTHER: Earl (& Jan) Boland, of Junction City, Kansas; 5 GRANDCHILDREN: Dale (& Sarah) Thomure; Emily Thomure; Matthew; Kyle & Megan Huhmann. Visitation Friday, 5-9 p.m. Visitation resumes Saturday morning at 7:00 a.m., & funeral Saturday morning, 11 am, August 7th, at TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, Farmington, with Rev. Craig Petzoldt & Rev. Judy O. Jeffry officiating. Interment follows at Hillview Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Farmington. Memorials to: The Libertyville United Methodist Church.
