Ada Elaine Brooks

Ada Elaine Brooks, 84, of Farmington, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at The Arbors at Maplebrook. She was born Sunday, October 8, 1939, to the late Henry Clyde and Alma Leila (Wells) Bridgewater in Leadwood, Missouri. Ada married the love of her life, Irvin N. Brooks in 1961.  They were married for 53 years and had six wonderful children.  

Ada was preceded in death by her late parents, loving husband, grandson Billy Downey and brother William Bridgewater. 

Ada enjoyed camping, fishing, crocheting, trips to Branson, shopping and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She loved her church, Trinity Baptist Church in St. Mary MO. Ada especially loved her chocolate and if you ever messed with her grandkids or kids, you got it. 

Ada is survived by her children Irvin Brooks (Pattie), Elaine Downey (William), Samantha Brooks, Henry Brooks (Marsha), Christy Briley (Jodie), Brian Brooks (Amanda).  As well as 17 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and many family members and friends.

Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer & Son Desloge Chapel on Saturday April 6, 2024, from 11:00 AM until the time of a memorial service at 2:00 PM with Pastor Ed Carter officiating.  Graveside service will follow at Leadwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Dementia Society of America.
