Adiba Chowdhury, age 68 of Fredericktown, Missouri passed away on Saturday, July 3, 2017 at the Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St.Louis, Missouri. She was born on February 25, 1949 in Dhaka, Bangladesh, a daughter of Abdul and Hamidunessa (Khatoon) Bhuiya. Her parents and brother, Sinoos and sister, Jahan Ara Bequm   precedes her death.      On July 2, 1972 in Bangladesh she was united in marriage to Abu Chowdhury, he resides in Fredericktown. Other suvivors include: one son - Adnan Chowdhury PhD. of Los Angeles, California; one daughter & son-in-law - Nadia & Md Haque of Seattle, Washington; one granddaughter - Maryam Haque also of Seattle; seven brothers and sisters - Mumtaz (Michael) Knuth, Mohammed Sajjad, Roshan Ara Begum, Faro (Rofique) Begum and Mohammed Sayidine (Nasreen Sadiqua and numerous nieces and nephews.      Adiba was co owner/operator of Madison Inn Lodge in Fredericktown until she and her husband decided to sell the business and at one time she had run for mayor of Fredericktown; she loved cooking and had taught cooking classes at Mineral Area College in Farmington. She came in first class in the Azalea Festival cooking contest, first class in the National Beef Contest in Chicago and second place in Illinois. She would also have recipes published in the local paper, The Democrat News.      Upon the request of Adiba there will be no memorable service.  Condolences may be posted on this website.
