Albert "Butch" L. Halter

Albert Lloyd “Butch” Halter, of Pevely, formally of Bonne Terre passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at his residence. He was born on Wednesday, October 31, 1945 to the late Tony and Florence I. (Janssen) Halter. Butch was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bonne Terre, and proudly served his country in the United States Navy.

Butch worked as the Department Manager of Bonne Terre Water Department for 10 years. Everyone knew him as “the water man”. He enjoyed in his spare time watching the St. Louis Cardinals, reading books, cross word puzzles, playing cards, and fishing. Butch really enjoyed arrow head hunting and metal detecting, however, his passion was watching his grandchildren and spending time with them.

In addition to his parents, Butch was preceded in death by her his loving wife Pamela (Thompson) Halter, grandson, Ian Rasnic, and sister Norma Jean Halter.

Butch is survived by his children, Kristie Halter, Tara Halter, and Scott and wife Sarah Halter; grandchildren, Emily Rasnic, Maitlan Halter, Abigale Rasnic, Eli Rasnic, Ava Dorr, Benjamin Halter, and Jake Halter; two sisters, Linda Harvell and Shirley (Richard) Diebold.

 Visitation will be held at 12:00 P.M. Thursday, December 1, 2022 at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 P.M. with Deacon Don Kintz.
