Alice Pierce, 91, of Farmington, passed away peacefully, December 22, 2023, at Presbyterian Manor. She was born, September 21, 1932, in Leadwood, to the late Lemuel and Omah (Wells) Morris. Alice worked as an LPN at the old Bonne Terre Hospital and Medical Arts Clinic in Farmington. In her younger years, she loved sewing, making cards and videos. Alice’s pride and joy was her little Yorkie, Holly.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 56 years, Donald William Pierce, Sr.; two sons, Donald William Pierce, Jr. and Gregory Pierce; great-grandson, Brady Pierce; six siblings, Lemuel Morris, Elva Clark, Alberta Huitt, Virgil Morris, John Morris and Marie Gibson; and son in-law, Mike Williams.
Alice is survived by her two daughters, Stephanie Williams of Farmington and Alicia Pierce of St. Louis; grandchildren, Julie Irvin and husband Brian, George “Michael” Williams, Jr. and wife Beth, Donald William Pierce III and wife Ashley, Eric Pierce and wife Christina; seven great-grandchildren, Conner, Elijah, Maya, Emma, AJ, Henry and Liberty; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Thursday, December 28, 2023, from 9:00 until the service time at 1:00 PM. Reverend Roger Hogan will be officiating. Interment will follow at Leadwood Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.
