Allen James Pitt Sr.

Allen James Pitt Sr., age 78 passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at his home in Fredericktown, Missouri. He was born on September 18, 1945, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Albert and Vera Josephine (Koesters) Pytlinski.

On October 9, 1965, he was united in marriage to Sherrie Ann Austin, she resides at the home he built in 1976..

He is also survived by: one son – Allen James Pitt Jr. of Arnold, Missouri; two daughters – Stacy Burt of Fredericktown and Melissa Koehler of Pevely, Missouri; one sister – Janet Darlene Belt of Robertsville, Missouri and three grandchildren – Austin Copeland and Autumn and EllaMae Pitt.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Allen was a self-employed carpenter; in addition to the home they lived in, he built and remodeled many other homes in the Madison County area; he enjoyed working with wood, watching Judge Judy on TV and his faithful companions, his dogs – Woody, Sofie and Leroy; but most of all his greatest enjoyment was his family.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Cherokee Pass, Missouri.
