Alsie Fern Duke

Mrs. Alsie Fern 'Johnson' Duke passed away late Tuesday afternoon, October 27, 2009, at Parkland Health Center, South, in Farmington, at the age of 83 years, 10 months & 1 day. Alsie was born on December 26, 1925, in Iron County, Mo., & was the daughter of Alva Johnson and Shirley 'Lowise' Johnson. Also preceding-in-death were: her husband of 62 years, Charles Leo Duke (Feb. 9, 2009); 1 Brother, Ronald Johnson & 2 Sisters: Melba Seabaugh and Dana Barner.

Alsie was a longtime, faithful member of the Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church of Ste. Genevieve County.

Survivors Include : 5 Sisters - Alta Miller, of California; Irene Frohock, of Farmington; Jean 'Mrs. Ed' Kuntz, of Farmington; Rowena 'Mrs. Freeman' Jones, of Farmington; and Sherry 'Mrs. Doyen' Williams, of Fredericktown. Also surviving are 28 Nieces & Nephews; numerous Great-Nieces & Great-Nephews.

Visitation : Friday, Oct. 30, starting @ 10:30 a.m.

Funeral : Friday, 1:00 p.m., October 30, 2009

at : TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, with Rev. Steve Thomas officiating.

Interment follows at : Chestnut Ridge Cemetery in Ste. Genevieve County, Missouri.
