Mrs. Alta Mae Pinkston passed away Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014, at Southbrook Nursing Center, Farmington, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 101 years, 2 months & 24 days. Alta was born Sept. 17, 1913, in Eminence, MO., & was the daughter of William Crowley and Leila Viola 'Gossett' Crowley. Also preceding-in-death were: her husband, Austin L. Pinkston (Oct. 27, 1995); 4 brothers - Leonard, J.O., George & Calvin Crowley. A daughter-in-law, Ruth Pinkston & a granddaughter, Leslie Joan Pinkston Turner.
Alta was the oldest living member of Little Vine Baptist Church of Ste. Genevieve County. She retired from Farmington Presbyterian Manor at 82 years of age, with many honors. She was loved by her friends & respected by her co-workers. Her happiest times were spent with her family who cherished & adored her.
Survivors Include : 2 sons - Lester (& Linda) Pinkston; Dale (& Pat) Pinkston. 3 grandchildren: Debbie Milfelt; Kathy (& Paul) Wigger; Kevin (& Connie) Pinkston. Great-Grandchildren: Justin (& Kelly) Delk; Travis Milfelt; Jason Pinkston; Rodney (& Lauren) Pinkston; Dustin (& Tina) Pinkston; Kelly (& Kenny) Farkas; John (& Erica) Wigger. 4 Great, Great-Grandsons: Collin Farkas; Corbin Pinkston; Logan Pinkston & Colt Delk.
Visitation : Saturday, 4-8 p.m. Visitation resumes, Sunday @ 6:30 a.m.
Funeral : Sunday - 2:00 p.m. - December 14, 2014
at : TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, with Rev. Rocky Good officiating.
Interment follows at : Little Vine Cemetery, Ste. Genevieve County
Memorials to : * Little Vine Cemetery Maintenance Fund &/or * Safe Harbor Hospice.
