Alta Ruth Graham

Alta “Ruth” Graham, of Libertyville, MO passed away Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Parc Prōvence, Creve Coeur, MO at the age of 88.  Ruth was born May 6, 1930 in Fredericktown, MO to the late Archie and Laurrie (Haney) Douglas.  Ruth was also preceded in death by an infant son, Harvey Dean Graham, her brother, Dale Douglas and granddaughter, Courtney Huber.

Ruth lived most of her life in Libertyville on their family farm with husband Louis “Max” Graham. They have four daughters, Anna Marie (Larry) Massie, Mary (Larry) Dickieson, Judy (Gene) Huber, and Bonnie (Matt) Belter; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.  

Ruth was a longtime member of the Farmington Christian Church, a 4-H leader for 30 plus years, a member of the Clearview Neighbors Club, and she volunteered for many years at Farmington Community Hospital. Ruth had a caring heart and mailed thousands of greeting cards to family and friends as well as people she had never met: when she heard or read about someone who needed comfort or cheer. She also enjoyed making quilts, quilting, crocheting and reading. Ruth was a great collector of inspirational quotes, angels and pitchers.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 29th, 2018 from 11:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM at the C.Z. Boyer & Son - Taylor Chapel in Farmington. Burial to follow at Libertyville Christian Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the Libertyville Christian Cemetery Maintenance Fund or to the Farmington Christian Church.
