Alta Wilma Buxton

Alta Wilma Buxton, 87, of the Leadbelt area, passed away December 12, 2010 at her residence in Cadet, Missouri. She was born March 1, 1923 in Gumbo. She was a member of the Jehovahs Witness, the Potosi Kingdom Hall. For several years she was a nurses aide at several nursing homes.Mrs. Buxton is preceded in death by her husband, James E. E. Buxton; two daughters, Wilma Peterson and Brenda Marshall; one son, Richard Buxton; parents, Lacy Lawson and Eva (Price) Lawson Rawlins, and step-dad, Tommy Rawlins. She is survived by nine children, Carol Boren, Earlene Scoggins and Jim, Jim Buxton and wife Blossom, Becky Hodges, Neda (Mrs. James) Atterberry, DeDe Buckholtz, Sue Bell, Peggy (Mrs. John) Atterberry, andDavid Buxton and wife Beth; 43 grandchildren; 81 great-grandchildren; 55 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley (Mrs. Jimmy) Howard.Visitation will be 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday (December 14, 2010) and will resume at 11:00 AM Wednesday (December 15, 2010) until time of service at C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge. Services are 1:00 PM Wednesday (December 15, 2010) at C. Z. Boyer & Son Chapel in Desloge with Elder Alan AuBuchon officiating.
