Alvin Lee Miller Sr., age 85 passed away on Friday, April 8, 2016 at his home near Fredericktown, Missouri. He was born on July 24, 1930 in Knob Lick, Missouri, a son of Fred Lee and Geneva Ina (Fortner) Miller. On February 1, 1951 in Fredericktown he was united in marriage to Nellie Jane Vandergriff, she preceded him in death on October 21, 2005; He is also preceded by his parents, brother Gary Miller and sister, Margaret Ina Miller.           Those surviving include: one son - Alvin "Al" Miller Jr. of Fredericktown; one daughter & son-in-law - Carla & Roger Tripp of Fredericktown; one sister & brother-in-law- Rita & Bill Black of Guthrie, Oklahoma; two grandsons - Gabriel Tripp and Roger Wayne Tripp both of Fredericktown; two great-grandsons - Ethan and Hunter of the state Florida; sister-in-law - Velma Miller of Park Hills; special friend - Deloris Thomure of Farmington, Missouri and nieces , nephews and friends.      Alvin worked at Trimfoot Shoe Manufacturing Company in Farmington for over forty years; he enjoyed hunting and fishing with his grandsons and spending time with his family; he was a member of the Crossroads First Church of God near Libertyville, Missouri.      Visitation will be held from 10:00 -1:00 on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Wilson Funeral Home in Fredericktown.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at the Crossroads First Church of God near Libertyville with Pastor Joe Pogue officiating.  Internment will follow at the Libertyville Christian Cemetery in Libertyville.      Condolences may be posted on this website.
