Andrew "A. J." Gordon

Mr. Andrew "A. J." Gordon passed away at his Farmington residence Saturday morning, September 8, 2001, at the age of 79 years, 10 months & 8 days. "A.J." was born on October 30, 1921, in Farmington, and was the son of Elliott J. Gordon and Emma Ellen 'Bowling' Gordon.

"A.J." was a member of Farmington First Baptist Church; a US Navy Veteran of World War II & a member of the Gold Wing Riders Association.

Survivors Include : his wife, Myrtle Irene 'Johnson' Gordon, of Farmington. 2 daughters - Judith Lynn 'Mrs.Robert' Benham, of Rockford, IL & Mary Kay 'Mrs. John' Highley, of Farmington. 1 sister, Jean (& Cecil) Hulsey, of Farmington. 1 brother, Rolla E. (& Helen) Gordon, of Farmington. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren: Chris (& Suzanne) Benham, of Rockford, IL; Janel Benham, of Rockford, IL; Amy, Rachel & Brad Hurtz - all of Farmington.

Visitation : Sunday, 5-8 p.m. Visitation resumed Monday at 6:30 a.m.

Funeral : Monday, 1:00 p.m., September 20, 2001

at : TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, with Dr. William C. MIller officiating.

Burial : Parkview Cemetery, Farmington (serving as pallbearers were: Ronnie Hale; Denny Johnson; Duane Johnson; Kenny Graham; Bob Benham & John Highley)
