Anita Moore, age 76, of Farmington, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. She was born on Tuesday, November 29, 1949, in Bonne Terre to the late Virgil “Bo” and Gloria (McIntyre) Henson. In addition to her parents, Anita was preceded in death by a sister, Lila Welch.
Anita was a devoted wife to her beloved husband, Ron Moore, and a nurturing mother to her three children: Kimberly Wade (Steven Sr.), Steve Moore (Kelly), and Jason Moore. Her cherished grandchildren: Miranda Wade (Charlie Mooneyham), Steven Wade Jr. (Darla), Danielle Wade and Elizabeth Allen; great-grandchildren: Hunter, Henleigh, Jaedan, Lane and Harlee. Her loving brothers Timothy Henson (Jennifer) and James Henson (Chris) and her sister, Belinda Neely. Along with several nieces, nephews, and numerous loving friends.
Anita was creative, she found joy in sewing, painting, and crafting. Her specialty was Christmas time, making personalized gifts with sentimental packaging for all. Her hands were not only skilled in artistry but were also adept at nurturing her beloved vegetable and flower gardens, where she spent many peaceful hours surrounded by nature. Anita had a particular fondness for watching birds, finding solace in their presence and bringing beauty into her life.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 11, 2026, at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre from 10:00 AM until service time of 12:00 PM with Pastor Jim Shremp officiating. Burial to follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery near Williamsville.
